An excellent instrument with expandable units BUT NOT wall mountable contrary to reviews; conveniently can update remotes from base.
I like instant gratification and I actually had to read the manual to program the time. We have tried five other cordless phones and they were all terrible.
It has great features but the best part is its signal strength. I love this phone.
We are going to put one in the garage. You can go anywhere in the house and never get static or interference.
Another great feature is that you can put a phone anywhere with electricity. The only problem I have with this phone is the set up.
Other than that I LOVE THIS PHONE.
I have the 8866 system and 8 handsets, but purchased this for the corded handset, and set the extra handsets to this, unplugging the 8866. The base signal is not powerful enough to prevent static even on the same floor of our house. Have to change back to the 8866.
However, this last week the main base phone failed for no reason. I bought one of these a year ago, and added several handsets. After repeated attempts to reach customer service, and no response from Uniden, I am trashing the entire setup. The sound quality is good. The number buttons are soft and attract dirt, and you have to keep cleaning them. They have one of those endless on-hold numbers; and email with no response. Won't buy this brand again.
This model filled my requirements perfectly. I am very pleased with the performance of this phone. I like the fact that it has the capacity to add another handset at a later time. It was very easy to set up and use. I needed a combination of corded base phone with one handset. My old phone had a problem with the speaker when it was taken off the wall and put on a table. The speaker on this phone is an improvement according to the person on the other end.
